Mental Health First Aid eLearning course

Most of us have been physically unwell, you are very lucky if you have not. For example, it might have been due to an accident or an infection, such as food poisoning. In this course we identify the differences between the illness, disease and sickness exploring some practical things you can do to support yourself and the people you care for.

This course is different to our Mental Health Awareness course which goes into greater detail about the different mental health conditions, treatments and the legislation relating to social care.

This course has been designed specifically for people who want to know more about mental health. Whilst it provides focus for people working in social care, it will also be useful to a wider audience of people who would like to know more about mental health.
  •  What is mental health?
  •  What is meant by the term mental health problems?
  •  Depression and anxiety
  •  Confidently engage in conversations about mental health
  •  How to support a person experiencing mental health problems
  •  What is meant by suicide and the impact it has
  •  Promoting positive mental health and resources
This course will take 45 minutes to complete.
