Celebrate Good Care Month: Free eLearning Access for Unpaid Carers

Grey Matter Learning is proud to celebrate Good Care Month from the 1st to the 31st of July by supporting unpaid carers with access to free health and social care training.

Good Care Month is an annual campaign dedicated to recognising the invaluable contributions of social care workers and encouraging more people to consider careers in social care. The campaign shines a light on the dedication and hard work of carers across the UK.

In England and Wales alone, over 5 million unpaid carers provide approximately 134.7 million hours of care each week. Despite their significant contributions, many of these carers lack access to essential training and support.

To address this need, Grey Matter Learning is offering unpaid carers FREE access to over 100 care courses on our eLearning platform for three months when you register during ‘Good Care Month’. This initiative aims to equip carers with the knowledge and skills they need to provide high-quality care confidently and competently.

To be eligible for this free training, unpaid carers can prove their carer status through:

  • Attendance Allowance Letter (AA)
  • Carer’s Card
  • Carers’ Allowance Letter of Award
  • Disability Living Allowance Letter (DLA)
  • Personal Independence Payments (PIP)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payments (AFIP)
  • Valid Blue Badge

At Grey Matter Learning, we believe that every act of caregiving matters. Whether big or small, each act contributes to the well-being of our communities. By offering expert training, we hope to empower unpaid carers to support their loved ones with grace, poise, and dignity. Through this initiative, we aim to enhance the visibility of unpaid carers and ensure their vital roles are recognised and supported.
