Grey Matter Learning to toast excellence in care at home services at this year’s Home Care Awards

Leading eLearning provider for the social care sector, Grey Matter Learning, are set to sponsor the forthcoming Home Care Awards later this month. The annual awards, which recognise and celebrates excellence in companies and organisations who are providing all forms of care at home services, is broken down into 21 categories ranging from expertise in day care through to innovative technology.

As one of the fastest growing areas of care in the UK, high-quality home care is becoming increasingly more important, both to those being cared for and society as a whole. Recent data gathered from carehome.co.uk suggested that nearly half a million people live in care homes in the UK, and that more than 750,000 people work in this industry. But that is still not enough. With an ageing population and demand on the increase, recognising and celebrating excellence at events such as these is even more important, because they can help to retain and attract the very best talent in the sector, whilst setting the benchmark for excellence in service delivery.

Grey Matter Learning will sponsor the Drinks Reception at the event which will take place in Bickenhill in the Midlands, before joining the rest of the guests and shortlisted nominees for the awards ceremony itself.

Shortlisted organisations and companies have made it through a rigorous, two staged judging process which has been taking place since January. The awards are an accumulation of months’ worth of preparation by all involved.

Talking of their sponsorship, Grey Matter Learning Managing Director Phil Hitchcox said:

“We are proud to support and sponsor these prestigious awards which recognises excellence and praises the teams and organisations who are leading the way in driving up the standards in care within the sector.

“We are a training organisation who is passionate about giving individuals and organisations access to affordable but meaningful training which supports professionals to do their job in the best possible way. So, we are delighted to support this event, which recognises those who are excelling in their profession and changing the lives of others every day. Our guests and I look forward to joining the celebrations later this month.”
