Supporting Menopause in the Workplace eLearning course

It’s a common view that ‘women of a certain age’ can get a bit hot and flustered and may open a window to cool down or fan themselves with whatever comes to hand! But menopause is so much more than that, as you will find out as we go through this course.

We will aim to equip you with the knowledge, understanding and tools to help support someone experiencing the menopause, both those you may support and for people within the workplace.

For managers there is an additional course, called 'Supporting menopause in the workplace: A manager's guide' which comes after you complete this one, which contains details on topics including developing a menopause policy, and managing absence.

  • What is menopause and who does it affect?
  • The signs, symptoms, and stages of menopause
  • Menopause treatment
  • Recognising racial disparity and supporting racial equality for people experiencing menopause
  • Supporting transgender, non-binary, and people with variations of sex development experiences
  • Understanding the law and policies to support someone experiencing menopause
  • Supporting someone with menopause who uses your service
This Menopause course has been designed specifically for people who would like better knowledge of the menopause, how menopause affects those experiencing it, and how the law relates to menopause, to enable you to better assist colleagues and those you may support.
This course will take 60 minutes to complete.
